Union Station's waiting area doesn't allow you to lie down or nap while waiting for your next bus.


The White House Visitor Center is open daily 7:30 a.m. -  4:30 p.m. most holidays.


DC- Hypothermia Shelter for the Homeless- Hotline: 800-535-7252. (Public Service Staff will come pick them up).


If you want to visit the White House (by appointment only through member of Congress, senator or representative). Request up to six months in advance, www.nps.gov/whhow.

Sherlene's Hey Neighbor! Suggestion

1. While visiting the Natural History Museum on April 9, 2014, I was told that the museum will be closing for five years (2019).


2. Public libraries have convenient internet service.


3. In my opinion, D.C. has one of the most convenient, major-city, public-transportation systems.
