|By Sherlene Stevens|
|Children-Friendly Activity Recipe (Science, Engineering, Math)
Preparation: You can make your own clay dough simply by mixing a combination of water and flour to make a dough. Or use the Kitchen Clay recipe. Next, print several capital letters or numbers on individual pieces of paper.
Tools: Cookie cutters or butter knife.

|1. Display the letters you printed and name them for children.
2. Give each child clay dough and ask them to use it to form each of the letters.
3. When children are finished help them name all of the clay dough letters they made.
4. Let the clay dough letters harden (How much time does it take for clay to harden?, Math:) Bake the letters at 350 degrees for 15 min.
5. After the letters have hardened, give children paints and paintbrushes, and allow them to paint the letters.
Why not create a complete alphabet of clay dough letters to display in your home-schooling learning area.
