Prepare paint-by-number or category ahead of time.

tempera paint or food coloring
small containers to hold paint colors
medium- to large- paper
paintbrushes or old toothbrushes
pen or marker
labels
*Water paint paper is best for activity.
| | Directions: |
1. Fill each container with a different color paint. Label the cans sequentially from 1 to 5 or a to e or word-association. Put a brush in each container.
2. Do you have an art apron? Allow the child to follow the patterns and have fun with imagination and creativity.
